' About Laird Ranch Bed & Breakfast This beautiful home was built in 1952 by William Moore who was a descendant of the original settlers of Balmorhea, Madera Valley and Toyahvale. The home served as “Ranch Headquarters” until the 1990’s. John & Beth Laird, the current owners, had been long time visitors to Balmorhea from their home in the Southwest. They came to Balmorhea because of the people, the view and the tranquility. “We know that your visit will bring the same sense of enjoyment that we have experienced.” The facility is quiet and secluded, providing the perfect backdrop for a romantic weekend or a well deserved get away. The Ranch Headquarters has been restored to its original condition which created a “State of the Art” bed and breakfast to serve guests.
