Professional society for clinical and basic research into mineralised tissues and related diseases, including osteoporosis.
' About the Society See also: The Bone Research Society (BRS) was formerly the Bone and Tooth Society. The new name was adopted on 6 July 2005, following the Annual General Meeting and a postal ballot of members. The BRS is the largest scientific society in Europe dedicated to clinical and basic research into mineralised tissues, and is the oldest such society in the world. Meetings are held annually, attracting a wide audience from throughout the UK and, increasingly, from continental Europe. The presentations are traditionally balanced between clinical and laboratory studies. They are published in abstract form in Journal of Bone and Mineral Research, the leading journal in the field, (impact factor 6.3). The participation of young scientists and clinicians is actively encouraged. [PDF] [PDF] Updated: 25-oct-05 2006 The Bone Research Society - Secretary: Dr Tim Arnett email: '-Bone and Tooth Society
