A Credit Union is: - A cooperative of people who are linked under a Common Bond forming a not for profit organisation whose aims are to provide convenient savings and low cost loans to its members. It is owned by the members who buy shares in it by saving. It is run by the Board who are all volunteers voted into office at the Annual General Meeting. They decide the policy rules and oversee the running of the organisation. It is there for the benefit of its members, not to make profits in its own right. A Common Bond is:
