' About Me Janet Sproule, the creative force behind Bast, began designing clothes for her Barbie dolls at the age of ten when deemed old enough not to loose the sewing needles. Shortly thereafter the old Singer Spartan sewing machine was brought out of retirement and she began making her own clothes.
