Angle is a non-profit bi-monthly journal of arts and culture produced in Cleveland Ohio Our mission is two-fold To provide much-needed coverage of visual artists filmmakers theater artists literary writers composers and the venues that present their works in our region and to place the activities of these artists and venues in a global context through coverage of national and international arts-related events Angle was co-founded by Amy Bracken Sparks Dan Tranberg and Douglas Max Utter in January Amy Bracken Sparks is an award-winning critic writer and poet Former arts editor for the Cleveland Free Times she won top honors in film criticism from the Association of Alternative Newspapers in Best Critic in Ohio in and Best Columnist in Ohio in from the Society of Professional Journalists as well as numerous other local press awards She is the author of two books of poetry serious red Cleveland State University Poetry
